Zero discrimination day is an annual day commemoration awareness event celebrated by the United States, United Nations and other international institutes and organisations on first of March, every year. No discrimination day highlights the urgent crisis to take steps to destroy discrimination in all forms from gender, sex, creed, caste, community, wealth, income, health, disability, ethnicity, colour, race, class and religion. A global survey by UNAID stated that the discrimination in terms of inequality and it’s many forms have more increased than 70 percent on a global level excelling the risk of division of peoples and hamper social and economic levels in development, thus highlighting 2021 year theme of ‘no inequalities’.
The theme for this year 2022 World Zero discrimination day is – Zero discrimination against women and girls, hinting the social prejudices against women and girls. It also comes with a quote that says, “remove laws that harm and create laws that empower women”. This year , let’s unite with Kerala Academy of Pharmacy and we all promise to take a pledge to empower women and support women who always choose a life of sacrifice for the overall good. Women and girls are known for their nurturing and giving nature, which has been perceived as a weakness by society but they alone have shown their vulnerability and proved that vulnerability isn’t a weakness but strength. Those who think and undervalue women and girls are the weakest because they cannot bear and live with the fact that women stand tall in all aspects of personal and professional life. This year, Kerala Academy of Pharmacy proves a stance against prejudices against women and girls who are growing stronger with each nanosecond and they have excelled in all paths of life and is the true survivor and protector of mankind. So, come join hands KAP on this beautiful day to honour, love, support, empower women and girls and take a grand form to destroy the evil entities lined up against women and girls and let us put an end to inequalities against them and take a rough shot at the abuses, hatred and misogyny against women and girls .
