For 2022, the world Blood Donor Day slogan is “Donating blood is an act of solidarity. Join the effort and save lives” to draw attention to the roles that voluntary blood donations play in saving lives and enhancing solidarity within communities. Mexico who will be hosting this year’s blood donor day through its National Blood Centre on 14th June will be raising awareness of the need for increased and sophisticated investment from government to build a sustainable national blood system. There is always a bond that links all the men and women in the world which is composed of 55 percentage of water which never fails to carry the message that every difference is insignificant besides it. The red liquid which carries the oxygen and nutrients throughout the body that runs in every vein of the human race proves that family of man is a reality. Blood has always a fascinating mystery when it heals the wounds. Blood can be divided into two main parts, the blood plasma and the blood cells. A voluntary non- remunerated blood donor will give his/ her blood of free will without expecting or receiving any remuneration in cash or kind, which is always considered to be low risk donation. Also highlighting the need for committed year- round blood donation, to maintain adequate supplies and achieve universal and timely access to safe blood transfusion.
